Treatment with TREMFYA

TREMFYA is indicated for the treatment of adults and pediatric patients 6 years of age and older who also weigh at least 40 kg with active psoriatic arthritis. TREMFYA works by blocking IL-23, a cytokine responsible for inflammation, and by binding to CD64, a receptor on cells that produce IL-23. The clinical significance of the CD64 finding is unknown, and the dual-acting findings are limited to in vitro studies that demonstrated guselkumab's bindings to CD64 in an inflammatory monocyte model.1,2

TREMFYA may be administered alone or in combination with a conventional disease-modifying antirheumatic drug (eg, methotrexate).
For questions
about other concomitant medications, refer to the full Prescribing Information and Medication Guide.1

For active psoriatic arthritis, administer TREMFYA by subcutaneous injection at Week 0, Week 4, and every 8 weeks thereafter. TREMFYA may be administered alone or in combination with a conventional DMARD (eg, methotrexate). The recommended dose for adults and pediatric patients 6 years of age and older who also weigh at least 40 kg is 100 mg. See the current Prescribing Information, Medication Guide, and Instructions for Use for administration and training details.1

Disease Basics

It's a chronic, or long-term, disease, and we don't know the exact cause. If you have psoriatic arthritis, your immune system attacks healthy tissues like the skin and joints. That's why it's called an autoimmune disease. Psoriatic arthritis includes symptoms in areas such as the joint and skin.

Dosing / Safety

The most common adverse reactions associated with TREMFYA in moderate to severe plaque psoriasis and active psoriatic arthritis (≥1%) are upper respiratory infections, headache, injection site reactions, arthralgia, bronchitis, diarrhea, gastroenteritis, tinea infections, and herpes simplex infections. Important Warnings and Precautions include hypersensitivity reactions, infections, tuberculosis, hepatotoxicity, and immunizations. Please read the full Prescribing Information and Medication Guide for TREMFYA. You may report side effects to FDA at 1-800-FDA-1088.1
